Treating Conditions on the GB Channel
From a 5 Element perspective, we know that metal cuts wood... so from this perspective cupping and gua sha are the perfect tools to treat the GallBladder channel. As the upper partner of the GB, Triple Warmer channel treatments can also be really effective. Chopping, wringing, lifting and kneading are very effective techniques to treat the Gallbladder channel.
For tension headaches, ear ache, eye pain, inability to flex laterally, hip tension, moving pain in the body. I love cupping for the Gallbladder channel. This is where you can start to use the flexibility of the silicone cups to move the sticky, gravely stagnation that tends to accumulate in this channel. Techniques that fit in the ‘hold and release’ category can be applied, depending on the client and their state of health.
In side lying position, the Gallbladder Channel can be treated with moving, or stationary cups to move Qi and Blood.
