Bell's Palsy
An effective way to treat Bell's Palsy involves treating with acupuncture, moxa, and facial cupping.
In the video I describe the gentle version to treat Bell's palsy
A typical TCM approach is to apply hot oil to the face, and do deep, rapid sliding cupping from the nose to the ear along the course of the meridian/numbness/nerve response.
For stationary cupping, apply cups to the face, along the jawline, on the sinus points, the pituitary reflex (yin tang) and over the effected area. Retain the cups with light suction for 3-10 minutes. Extra consent should be received if cups are retained, for there is a high risk of leaving marks.
Release cupping can also be applied to the face, repeating 5-10 times on each point and reflex. Blanket cupping can be helpful for Bell's Palsy, as this is a WIND condition.
